For 2022/23 the relentless chase for perfection brought us to the point of refining some of the DH sizes and building a completely new shape for others. The medium boards received a whole new shape and design. We established a new custom factory for building and testing our boards. The FF custom factory is using cutting-edge technology and the latest machines which insures all our dreams and ideas come to life.
When the best boards are chosen, our boards are sent to our production factory which ensures stiffer, responsive construction. Unmatchable finish and the metallic paint job is one of the leading trademarks of our boards.

HIGH WIND PERFECTION
The DH 97 is a perfectly fine-tuned high wind racing machine. Long, carved outline nose to tail enables very tight entrance into turns, fast exit, and maximum ease of sail.
For the new 2022/23 DH 97 we bring back to the deck concave which had to be combined with correct perfectly designed tail cutouts.
The result was an increase of top speed, control and jibing ability
The board does not move around also in the strongest of wind gusts.
It has the perfect amount of rail in the water due to the deck being concave and has great lift and acceleration while entering a wind hole.
Results – The DH97 can handle crazy amounts of wind while maintaining tremendous amounts of control. Yet a fin or sail change, will bring this board back to life and cover some surprisingly light winds for its size with unbeatable speed.
Just like any FF race board the metallic finish and paint job are unmatchable
Remark – accurate tail cut-out testing was performed measuring clean water exit and flow. The team is using ‘’on board’’ and drone cameras as well as water flow programs and physical testing at the FF custom factory.

In today’s slalom world our boards must be super fast yet super easy and comfortable to ride and to turn.

The Dark Horse FR was an experiment where we took our easiest boards on the DH line – the 122 and the 107, we planted a variation of new strap inserts for also inner positions, and finally constructed the board with our more forgiving Elite Flex construction.
The result is a fantastic sensation and a variety of possibilities
Inner foot straps for great comfort and ease of ride and outer foot position which will bring the Dark Horse to life ready to take on any challenge.
